With over 35 years of experience in North Carolina’s Department of Public Safety, Chris Oxendine is a proven leader in field operations, offender supervision, and emergency response. He retired as Director of Field Operations, where he oversaw a statewide team of more than 2,300 personnel and managed public safety policies impacting over 120,000 adjudicated offenders.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and proud member of the Lumbee Tribe, Chris brings a lifetime of service to every detail of OX Security. He has directed armed supervision, high-risk facility security, and emergency operations in coordination with FEMA and the NC Governor’s Office. His extensive certifications include firearms, defensive tactics, first aid, records management, and leadership training from UNC-Chapel Hill.

After retiring from the state of North Carolina in 2023, Chris founded Ox Security with the support of family, mentors, and former co-workers devoted to his vision of accountable security services.
